You’ve gone to haunted houses, haunted forests and trails. But, have you ever hunted for ghosts? You have an opportunity to do that at the Camp Nelson Civil War Heritage Park.

Suzanne Starr Williams, a certified ghost hunter, will lead individuals through the fields of Camp Nelson including the cemetery, prison and forts to experience the ghosts and spirits of the past. Previous hunts at Camp Nelson revealed haunting experiences including orbs, aromas, movements, and chills.

Two ghost hunts are scheduled at Camp Nelson–one on Saturday, October 22 and the other Saturday, October 29. Each starts at 7:30 PM at the Civil War Heritage Park. Children under 13 years of age are not allowed. Individuals under 18 are permitted if accompanied by an adult. This is not a staged event—what you will experience is real.

Suzanne has 14 years of experience in ghost hunting including several years at Camp Nelson. She has conducted numerous national conferences and teaches ghost hunting and dousing. She and her colleagues will lead the hunts with the assistance of cameras, voice and video recorders.

Walking is a requirement; therefore, comfortable shoes are recommended. Space is limited for the hunts. The cost for each hunt is $20.00 with a portion of the proceeds retained for Camp Nelson’s preservation efforts. Reservations can be made by calling Camp Nelson at 859-881-5716 or at each event.

Camp Nelson is located on US 27, six miles south of Nicholasville.
